North Cumming Tamil School was founded with a clear and heartfelt mission—to preserve the Tamil language and help our children remain connected to their rich cultural heritage. More than a language school, we are a vibrant community dedicated to nurturing the next generation of Tamil speakers, leaders, and proud ambassadors of Tamil culture.

Our Journey Timeline

2024-2025

A HISTORIC BEGINNING — Opened our doors with 185 students, one of the fastest-growing Tamil language schools in Georgia from year one. Students learned to read, write, and speak Tamil while celebrating Deepavali, Pongal, and other cultural events.

2025-2026
High School Credit

GROWING STRONGER TOGETHER — Enrollment grew to nearly 290 students, supported by more than 75 dedicated volunteers. Forsyth County students can earn high school academic credit for Tamil.

GAC Accreditation

ACCREDITATION ACHIEVED — Received official accreditation from the Georgia Accrediting Commission (GAC), recognizing the quality of our educational programs and the dedication of our school community.

First Graduation

A PROUD MILESTONE — Successfully celebrated our first graduation ceremony, alongside increased participation in cultural programs, competitions, and performances.

2026-2027
Seal of Biliteracy

LOOKING AHEAD — Students can earn the Seal of Biliteracy in Tamil. Our second anniversary brings new milestones ahead.
