Gayathri Prabhu, Principal
Mrs. Gayathri Prabhu is a native Tamil speaker with a Bachelor's degree and over 12 years of experience teaching Tamil. She has been living in the United States for the past 27 years, during which she has remained deeply connected to her cultural roots and actively involved in the Tamil community. Her passion for the Tamil language and culture has led her to contribute significantly to curriculum development and mentoring students of all age groups. She is committed to preserving and promoting Tamil heritage through education and community engagement. Over the years, Mrs. Gayathri has actively volunteered with several nonprofit organizations and has taught at Alpharetta Tamil School. She currently serves as the President of Atlanta Tamil Mandram, where she leads efforts to bring the community together through cultural and educational initiatives. She also plays a key leadership role as the full-time volunteer administrator of North Cumming Tamil School (NCTS). In this role, she manages academic programs, coordinates with teachers, and oversees community outreach. Working closely with a team of dedicated volunteers, she spends several hours each day ensuring the school runs smoothly and efficiently. Outside of her volunteer commitments, Mrs. Gayathri works professionally as a Team Lead, balancing her career with her strong dedication to community service. Her leadership, passion, and consistent efforts continue to make a lasting impact on the Tamil community in and around Atlanta.
